Artwork Collection

Alumni Donations

Welcome to the AIRIE Artwork Collection.

This Artwork Archive is a collection of artworks donated by Alumni from our artists’ residency in the Everglades and Environments Everywhere.

Each AIRIE Fellow donates a work inspired by their time in the residency. A donated work is reviewed and accepted into the Everglades National Park (ENP) or AIRIE Foundation Collection. After acceptance, a deed of gift is prepared, and the work is cataloged following the Department of the Interior (DOI) guidelines or cataloged as part of the AIRIE Foundation Collection. This accession and digitization process are all part of keeping stewardship of the incredible and generous donations of our AIRIE Alumni.

Ebony in Veil of Fight (Whispers of the Everglades), 2025
Morel Doucet
Porcelain Ceramics

“During my month-long artist residency in Everglades National Park, I immersed myself in its raw, untamed wilderness, tracing the histories woven into its shifting waters and dense terrain. This experience culminated in Ebony in Veil of Fight: Whispers of the Everglades, a ceramic bust adorned with intricate blue decals of butterflies, spiders, and various insects—symbols of survival, transformation, and resilience.”
