AIRIE Asks: Pre-Miami Art Week Special

On November 28th AIRIE held a Pre-Miami Art Week AIRIE Asks discussion with AIRIE Fellows Monica Sorelle (filmmaker), T. Elliot Mansa (Visual Artist), and Alejandro Rodriguez (Playwright). The conversation brought into dialogue how local artists, designers, and community members are preserving Miami’s built and natural environment through creative storytelling. In a community with vulnerable built and natural environments, how are artists and designers using their mediums to help preserve Miami’s cultural and environmental fabric? The 2023 Fellows also reflected on their time in residency at Everglades National Park and other current projects.

AIRIE Ask is a monthly artist talk series hosted by Artist in Residence in the Everglades (AIRIE) featuring a current or recent AIRIE Fellow. This conversation was moderated by Arsimmer McCoy and Cornelius Tulloch.

Soho Beach House is situated in a 1940s tower overlooking Miami Beach, the club's design is inspired by the city's Art Deco and Cuban heritage, with a pool and ocean-facing rooftop among the highlights.
