Contours of the Everglades Exhibition Opening

On Saturday, February 17th, AIRIE held an opening of the exhibition, Contours of the Everglades, curated by AIRIE Creative Director & 2022 AIRIE fellow Cornelius Tulloch. See photos from the opening below courtesy of Kristina Reinis!

This gallery exhibition of physical works brings together the work of AIRIE Fellows across multiple years of residency. By showcasing strictly black & white images, the selected body of work highlights the textures of the Everglades and how even when devoid of color, there is so much to experience in the landscape. Through exploration and interpretation, artists have revealed the beautiful complexities which lie within the contours of the Everglades.

Participating artists include Marion Belanger (2004), Mollie Doctrow (2003), Krista Elrick (2012), Cameron Gillie (2010), Nick Gilmore (2017), Rachel Gray (2020), Ailyn Hoey (2005), Joanna Kidd (2012) and Danni Downing (2012), Annie Helmericks Louder (2005), Deanna Morse (2012).

Located in the AIRIE Nest Gallery in the Ernest F. Coe Visitors Center in Everglades National Park, the exhibition is slated through March.
