Germane Barnes Artist Talk hosted by AIRIE and MOAD at Miami Dade College

Thank you to everyone who joined the Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) and Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE) for a very special evening featuring artist and architect Germane Barnes and special guests, interdisciplinary artist and designer Cornelius Tulloch and consulting curator Isabela Villanueva.

The event's location added an extra-special touch to the evening, taking place inside MOAD's pavilion Ukhamba, designed by Barnes. Barnes reflected upon what inspired it, the artistic process of its creation, and its place in the environment. Barnes also reflected on his time in residency at Everglades National Park and shared an intimate look at his practice, process, and month-long stay in the Florida Everglades while in conversation with Tulloch and Villaneuva.
